Mr. Bennett's Patent Litigation and Arbitration experience 

  • serving as lead counsel in GeoTag's assertion of a patent directed to an online organizer for accessing geographical and topic information against over 300 defendants in over 100 cases;
  • serving as lead counsel in Parallel Networks' assertion of two patents directed to efficiently managing dynamic web page generation requests against Oracle Corporation, which Mr. Bennett successfully resolved on the eve of trial
  • representing Parallel Networks as lead counsel in four consolidated cases in the Eastern District of Texas accusing over 120 defendants of infringing a patent directed to internet technologies
  • representing large multinational chemical company in asserting a patent against Shell Corporation directed to a process for manufacturing ethylene oxide using a novel catalyst. After finding infringement, a jury awarded client $112 million in damages and the court granted $40 million in interest based on Mr. Bennett's damages case and arguments
  • representing a Fortune 50 consumer products/pharmaceutical company in a case in which the client asserted that Bayer infringed a patent directed to gelcap technology used on numerous pharmaceutical products including Tylenol® gelcaps. A jury found that Bayer infringed and awarded client over $6 million in damages
  • representing a Fortune 100 chemical company in defense of a lawsuit brought by Cargill accusing client of infringing four patents directed to canola seeds and oils; the Court invalidated two of Cargill's patents based on Mr. Bennett's factual development and held the remaining two patents unenforceable due to inequitable conduct
  • representing a solo inventor in arbitrations in the field of electronic ballasts and lighting resulting in damages awards totaling tens of millions of dollars
